Tobias Kaspar (b. 1984, lives and works in Riga and Zurich) explores the mechanisms of value production, taste, and desire within the art and fashion industries. His practice—spanning photography, object, and installation—examines how cultural meanings, styles, and myths, such as that of the artist’s studio, are produced and circulated. With subtle irony, Kaspar employs the logics of consumption and aesthetics to expose the entanglements of market forces, identity, and artistic aura.
